Performs as advertised... although sometimes it's easier if you start your posthole with a shovel (especially through sod) then move to the digger, using the spear chucker method... this baby is heavy so the weight works best that way... lifting it out of the hole can be a little bit more exercise, but it seems to be pretty effective at holding the dirt. I was concerned about getting too tired out but since I only had a couple of holes to dig I don't really know about that. A bigger person wouldn't worry about it. It's much easier to make a deeper more narrow hole than a regular digger can. Pretty cool altogether!

These Post Hole Diggers are built like a tank. When they say Industrial Grade, they are not exaggerating. These Post Hole Diggers will last our lifetime for certain. They can dig a straight, deep, round hole.
They are heavier than the other post hole diggers we have had but that just makes it work quicker. The top of the handles have a knob of sorts that makes it easier lifting them out of the hole. We used them while installing 75 feet of used chain link fencing. The poles already had concrete on them and these diggers made fast work of customizing the holes to fit the shape of the concrete.
A nice touch, the handles are a beautiful blue.

Has a lot of weight which is good for digging. Digs holes much easier and faster than the ones that are smaller and lighter.
